Voice, city and fiction: Viviane Salles, Jota Mombaça and Guerreiro do Divino Amor

Abstract

This brief article aims to analyze the areas of action for artistic practices created in Rio de Janeiro. These actions – material, as the action of Viviane Salles, and abstract ones, like the action of Guerreiro do Divino Amor – poetically mark the living space of the city, pairing the autonomy of artistic creations with the hegemonic power fictions in evidence, as criticized by Jota Mombaça (2016). We present, from the sound dynamics of the voice, how poetics and counterpoetics rub together in the creative field of Poetry, Visual Arts and performance, composing fronts for the transformation of the coded territories in permanent dispute of the imaginary, at the same time that they delve into fundamentals for a full right to the city, with special attention to the management of an agenda for culture.
