MUNA: process documentation graphics woven into the drawing line

Abstract

This article proposes reflection on design, its impairments and parities in the contemporary world. To compose the text’s argument, the writing approaches artistic trajectories that border and are nourished by the implications and possibilities that drawing provides, as an artistic language. Artists such as Rupi Kaur and Francisca Costabal are mentioned in the subsequent paragraphs, in the crossing that their works reach between languages ​​in art. The artist’s notebook and, above all, comic books, are platforms that convey the intersections between drawing and writing, narrative and color. In this sense, drawing is placed in an approximation aspect in dialogue with literature, text and comic books, in order to consider the tensions of these connections that are present in the doctoral thesis developed by the artist-researcher (Postgraduate Program -graduation in Visual Arts - UFBA) drawn along these lines with the nomenclature of MUNA.
