O Estudo do Inglês Sulista Norte-Americano no Brasil – uma introdução
Résumé
Resumo: O presente artigo aborda um fenômeno linguístico aparentemente ainda pouco trabalhado pelos pesquisadores brasileiros: o inglês sulista norte-americano. Este estudo apresenta um panorama sobre as características desse dialeto e sobre como ele é percebido em seu contexto original. São apresentadas também algumas possibilidades de abordagem de seu estudo em universidades brasileiras.

Abstract: This article is based on an apparently new linguistic phenomenon for Brazilian researchers: Southern American English. This study presents an overview of the dialect’s characteristics, how it is perceived in its original context, and possible approaches for its study in brazilian universities.
