Pirronismo, Mādhyamaka e a crítica da crença

O artigo explora os paralelos na crítica da crença produzidos pelo Pirronismo e por Mādhyamaka, duas escolas surgidas respectivamente na Grécia e na Índia, normalmente associadas com a filosofia cética. O texto se concentra em analisar o diagnóstico que essas escolas fazem da condição humana, tendo a crença como categoria de análise central. São exploradas similaridades em como definem a crença a partir de uma análise das aparências, da distinção entre evidente e não-evidente e da crítica ao dogmatismo e teses extremas. O artigo ainda considera as motivações que levaram as duas escolas a investir na importância da crítica da crença, considerando possíveis repercussões de sua análise no contexto da saúde e da ética. Por fim, conclui-se acerca da centralidade da crença na experiência humana, bem como na pertinência e efetividade do diagnóstico e métodos das duas escolas para analisar o fenômeno e suas repercussões na vida humana.
