Abstract

A Professora Niède Guidon é a arqueóloga brasileira mais premiada até a data. Tanto pelas suas pesquisas como pela sua luta na defensa do patrimônio cultural e natural do Parque Nacional Serra da Capivara. Enumeramos apenas os prémios mais significativos nacionais e internacionais recebidos em reconhecimento do seu trabalho durante mais de quatro décadas. Entre eles cabem destacar O Prêmio Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur, do Governo de França, em 2014; Prêmio Fundação Conrado Wessel, Ciência, da Fundação Conrado Wessel, em 2014; A homenagem pela defesa à sustentabilidade, no 5º Forum Mundial do Meio Ambiente, em 2010; A Ordem do Mérito Científico, Grã Cruz, do Ministério de Ciência e Tecnologia, em 2005; O Green Prize, Paliber, em 2005; O Prêmio Príncipe Klaus, do Governo da Holanda, em 2005; e o prêmio Cientista de Ano, da SBPC, em 2004.
