Purpose: Integrate and consolidate academic production in the field of creative careers.
Design/methodology/approach: Systematic review of publications in the field of creative careers on a national and international basis.
Research, Practical & Social implications: (a) the singularities of creative careers, (b) the types of creative careers, (c) the types of management of creative careers and (d) the challenges of managing creative careers.
Originality/value: fill the existing gap in studies that systematically integrate the knowledge produced about creative careers.
