Peer Review Process

Socioeconomic Analytics is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publishing quality research. All manuscripts submitted to regular or special issues undergo the same rigorous single-blind peer review process (anonymous reviewers) to ensure the quality of the publication.

The number of reviewers varies depending on the manuscript's subject and complexity, with a minimum of two reviewers for each submission. The reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the area and their ability to provide constructive feedback. The final decision is made by Section Editors based on the reviewers' suggestions.

Reviewers are asked to judge submissions based on several criteria, including originality, clarity and coherence of the research question, methodology, relevance and significance of results, and overall contribution to the field. Reviewers are also asked to assess the manuscript's strengths and weaknesses and provide constructive comments to the authors.

The expected time to conduct the peer review process is from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the reviewers' availability and the manuscript's complexity. We make additional efforts to ensure that the review process is completed as quickly as possible without compromising the quality of the reviews.

We follow the principles of ethical peer review, which include confidentiality, fairness, and impartiality. All reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and must treat all manuscripts and authors with respect and professionalism.
