O debate sobre asserção
uma apresentação introdutória

Esse artigo tem como objetivo fazer uma apresentação introdutória do debate sobre asserção. Para tanto, em um primeiro momento, farei uma breve visita às clássicas teorias dos atos de fala, mostrando a asserção como um tipo de ato de fala. Em seguida, mostrarei as variadas tentativas, em filosofia da linguagem e epistemologia, de encontrar os elementos definidores da asserção e as quatro teorias mais destacadas sobre asserção.
