Survey of the presence quilombola in geographic speache of Brazilian academic journals: An aquilombamento of scientific knowledge?

This article is the result of a master's research completed in 2022, which aims to identify in the discourse of geography articles the presence of themes related to the quilombola issue, aiming to trace the emergence of the decolonial movement of aquilombamento in the Brazilian geographic academic community. The identification of this decolonial discourse is based on the quantitative survey of articles published between the years 2000-2022, in which their research addresses the issue of quilombos. With the survey data, we sought, in their theoretical references, which are the authors and the origins of the currents of thought in Geography that stood out in these researches. The search bank used was the Capes Periodicals Portal, where we located articles in periodicals indexed in geography, with a Qualis classification between A1 and No Classification. The publications of geographic journals revealed greater concern with the question of quilombola identification and territory, mainly from the year 2006. It was around this period that publications that discussed the quilombola theme became more relevant, culminating in a peak of publications on the subject in 2020, which reveals to be a tendency in the academic discussion, that the quilombola issue will gain more space in the discipline, and perhaps, will become a movement of quilombola in Geography.
