Abstract

This article is a study of Heidegger's concept of transcendence viewed from his critique of metaphysics and the notion of subject, giving emphasis to the idea of world as conjuncture and game, or as the structure amidst which it occurs the search for support of “being-there” (Dasein) – mode of being which designates the human condition – and in which, at the same time, there is the openness of “being-there” (Dasein) to “being” (Sein). Such openness, which means the very idea of transcendence, is not related to an escape from the world, but it is rather given into the essential structure of being-there as being-in-theworld. This proposition contains the meaning of the expression "non-metaphysical transcendence", or immanent transcendence, under which Heidegger's concept of transcendence is thought.
