Desenvolvimento das capacidades humanas: Caminho para uma justiça global

Abstract

Based on the ten principles for the global structure, described by Martha Nussbaum in ‘Para Além do Contrato Social: Capacidades e Justiça’ (In. Educação e Justiça Social, Portugal: Ed. Pedago, 2014), we will analyze how the development of human capabilities should be a priority in transnational relations. Considering the search for standardization as a key part of the way in which an issue or political dilemma is approached, we will seek to establish the importance of the contributions of the ethic of care in the treatment of political relations and in the contracts between people. It is postulated that in a globalized world other elements must be considered in these relations, such as solidarity, friendship or care, since the difference between people requires, for the establishment of a fair global structure, human capabilities to be developed within nations. John Rawls is a debater on Nussbaum from whom we will seek theoretical resources to effect cooperation among nations without sovereignty break. Thus, we reaffirm that the concepts of minimal democracy, present at the supportive global basic structure, are connected to the political arrangements of people.
