Leo Strauss e o caráter problemático da racionalidade moderna

This article is presented in a detailed and accurate form the crusher Strauss’s critique to modernity. In this sense, is made here an interpretation of the straussian critique to the values cultivated by the men from this period, those values for Strauss produced what he feared: “the nihilism”. Therefore, before the moral empty and the lack of direction that is established in the name of the science and the modern rationality, Strauss tries to find a way out or a way to rethink both politics and religion. In this context, it is to show that what Strauss wants to do, is through a questioning of the actual political and intellectual situation, to establish the philosophical base for a reevaluation of the past, searching for replace at issue the teachings of the ancients, in order to observe an alternative to ethical and metaphysic crisis of our time and to save the future societies from the abyss of the nihilism.References
