Sociogenesis and the psychoanalytic clinic:

Frantz Fanon's ethical commitment

Abstract

The text deals with the category of sociogenesis based on the thinking of Frantz Fanon and Deivison Faustino, arguing Freudian psychoanalysis, which considers the perspective of ontogenesis in the investigation of neuroses. In an ethical commitment, we recover Fanon, his work and clinical practice, to think about listening through the category of suffering and race relations, a kind of listening that does not evade socio-political impasses in the direction of treatment. Also in the dialogue on psychic suffering, we bring to the debate elements worked on by Lélia Gonzalez and her rigorous and attentive reading of psychoanalysis and the symptom of Brazilian racism, which allows us to think about ethical and radical approaches for a psychoanalysis that is not afraid to be called by its name.
