Abstract

In the article, Filipe Campello responds to the criticisms received in the dossier about his book Critique of Affections. The author reflects on the tension between preserving theoretical traditions and the need to distance oneself from them, particularly concerning concepts such as rationality, universality, and the limits of normative theory scopes. Revisiting the distinction between two orders of justice – epistemic recognition and justification criteria – the author aims to clarify the main arguments of the book, highlighting the relevance of reformulating the dominant political vocabulary. Rather than exhaust the discussion, the author intends to continue a proposal for debating ideas with different fields of development.
