REFLEXÕES SOBRE PAULO FREIRE E ANÍSIO TEIXEIRA

Abstract

This article addresses the educational thought of Paulo Freire and Anísio Teixeira, who have had a lasting influence on the field of Brazilian education. The objective is to analyze how the legacy of these educators can enrich contemporary pedagogical practices and educational reflections, promoting a critical, inclusive, and transformative education. This is qualitative bibliographic research based on the writings of Freire (1996, 1987, 1981) and Teixeira (1997, 2006, 2009), as well as other works discussing the theme. The results show that the legacy of Freire and Teixeira should serve as a continuous guide, inspiring actions that promote equity and inclusion at all levels of education, reinforcing the need for an ethical and political commitment to the training of educators and the building of a more just society.
