Este estudo tem o objetivo de analisar casos de Vórtice Ciclônicos em Altos Níveis (VCAN) que provocaram precipitações extremas nas cidades de Recife, Maceió e Aracaju, durante 2011 a 2015. As análises foram realizadas através de imagens de satélites, dados de reanálises do projeto National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) e do National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) que geraram campos de linhas de corrente, vorticidade relativa, Ômega e água precipitável. Também se utilizou dados diários de precipitação pluvial do Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (INMET). Com os dados de precipitação diária foi utilizado a técnica dos percentis e considerou-se como um evento de precipitação extrema o valor igual ou superior ao percentil 95. Com o valor obtido, identificou-se a quantidade e variabilidade dos eventos ocorridos entre Janeiro de 2011 e Dezembro de 2015. Selecionou-se os eventos de precipitações extremas ocorridos durante a temporada de VCAN, que vai de Novembro a Março e, através das análises de imagens de satélites juntamente com os campos de linhas de corrente em altos níveis (200hPa) pôde-se identificar quantos dos eventos de precipitações extremas foram provocados por VCAN. Foi constatado na temporada Novembro à Março (2011 à 2015) a ocorrência de 6 casos de VCANs, esses casos provocaram 52,2% dos eventos de precipitações extremas que ocorreram nas cidades de Recife, Maceió e Aracaju. Os casos mais duradouro ocorreram nos meses de Dezembro, Janeiro e Fevereiro e, os menos duradouros, ocorreram nos meses de Novembro e Março.
A B S T R A C T
This study aims to analyze cases of Cyclonic Vortex in High Levels (CVHL) that caused extreme rainfall in the cities of Recife, Maceió and Aracaju, during 2011 to 2015. The analyzes were performed using satellite images, reanalysis data project National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) that generated streamlines fields, relative vorticity, Omega and precipitable water. Also used daily rainfall data from the National Institute of Meteorology (NIMET). With the data of daily precipitation was used the technique of percentiles and it was considered as an extreme rainfall event the value at or above the 95th percentile with the obtained value, identified the amount and variability of the events that occurred between January 2011 and December 2015. Was selected the extreme rainfall events during the season CVHL, which runs from November to March and through satellite image analysis along with the current line fields at high levels (200 hPa) could identify how many of the events of extreme rainfall were caused by CVHL. It has been found in the season November to March (2011 to 2015) the occurrence of six cases of CVHL these cases caused 52.2% of extreme rainfall events that occurred in the cities of Recife, Maceió and Aracaju. The most enduring cases occurred in the months of December, January and February and the less durable, occurred in the months of November and March.
