QUANTIFICAÇÃO DO ESCOAMENTO SUPERFICIAL E EROSÃO DO SOLO EM REGIÕES SEMI-ÁRIDAS

Este artigo tem o objetivo de quantificar o escoamento superficial e a produção de sedimentos na região semi-árida paraibana, através do modelo hidrossedimentológico KINEROS2 na sub-bacia 1 (0,59 km2) do Riacho dos Namorados, localizada na Bacia Experimental de São João do Cariri (BESJC). Os resultados demonstram que o modelo consegue simular os processos de forma estável e satisfatória, e também, foi capaz de estimar, com fidelidade, a erosão do solo em eventos individuais, sendo, portanto, uma boa ferramenta para prever a produção de sedimentos em locais onde não existem observações.
