The Salobra bay is in the lower course of the Piraputanga stream, Pantanal of Cáceres, Mato Grosso, Brazil. It has approximately 629 m long, is located between the geographical coordinates 15º 58’ 64” to 15º 58.35’ 49” south latitude and 57º 41’ 08.44” to 57º 40’ 50.29” west longitude. The aim of this study was to identify the depositional landforms, as well as verify and quantify the bottom sediments transported in the mouth of the Salobra bay confluence with Paraguay River. The procedures used were: literature review, environmental characterization, observation and monitoring of the area, collection and analysis of depth sediments. For analysis of sediments were used methods of sieving and pipetting. The first segment presented the deposition with sidebar and higher sand concentration. The second segment registered a central bar. And the third segment shows sidebar predominantly sand.
