Meio Ambiente na China: impasses, avanços e desafios

Résumé

Diante de um cenário climático cada vez mais obscuro, este artigo propõe discutir sobre as questões ambientais mais recentes na China, visto ser de um dos atores de maior relevância em se tratando dos compromissos ambientais. Como objetivo primordial, busca-se esclarecer o atual panorama ambiental do país, desde os impasses e desafios aos avanços encontrados nas últimas gestões. Para tal, esta pesquisa se utilizou de uma análise qualitativa com base em uma revisão bibliográfica. Como considerações finais, foi possível identificar que a China tem promovido respostas à crise ambiental, principalmente a partir de mudanças estruturais em seu governo em direção a uma agenda ambiental mais atuante conforme os objetivos estabelecidos no Acordo de Paris. Ainda assim, as ações tomadas hoje são insuficientes para o alcance desses compromissos com data prevista para 2030. Ademais, é preciso maior solidez com relação às políticas ambientais chinesas a fim de se garantir um verdadeiro papel de protagonismo no tema a nível global.
