Empoderamento de gênero através da associação Oxalá de Bujaru no Quilombo São Judas Tadeu- PA
Abstract
Abstract: Gender empowerment, both individual and collective, builds power in actions with the purpose of eliminating socially constructed oppression, in addition to favoring public policies for the social group. The objective of the research is to demonstrate the empowerment of a quilombola woman, president of the reborn quilombola association Oxalá de Bujaru – ARQUIOB in Pará in her actions, occupied space and collective achievements. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, using a recorded interview accompanied by a semi-structured script, with open and closed questions, and the interviewee's narratives were later systematized. The results indicate that the empowerment of the quilombola woman, in the case studied, represents self-affirmation in the rural public space of male domain, self-confidence and knowledge acquisition, mainly about rights for black women and the search for solutions to face problems in the territory.
