Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  • All authors must be registered on the ORCID platform: https://orcid.org/
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.
  • Approval by a Research Ethics Committee is explicit (only for original studies with human beings or animals, including case reports). The submission of a favorable ethical opinion issued by the Research Ethics Committee is mandatory.
  • The authors consulted the SUBMISSION RULES in all their details and the submitted documents strictly follow all the rules for publication of the Revista Brasileira Interdsciplinar de Residências em Saúde.
  • All authors of the article are informed and agree with the editorial policies of the Journal, have read the manuscript being submitted and are in agreement with it.
  • All authors must define the effective contribution of each one to the work. Authorship credits will be given to those who contributed substantially during the development of the article, taking into account: the conception and outline of the study, or the analysis and interpretation of the data; the drafting of the article or its critical review, with important contributions to its content; the approval process for the final version to be submitted. Employees who do not enter these categories may be mentioned in the acknowledgments.

Author Guidelines

General Rules:

● File Formatting:
- Must be submitted in word and pdf format;
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12;
- Formatting: 1.5 line and paragraph spacing, 2.5cm margins.

● Title page: must be sent in a separate file from the manuscript. Must contain:
- Title of the manuscript (in the three languages, Portuguese, English and Spanish);
- Short title (in the three languages, Portuguese, English and Spanish);
- Full names of authors, with ORCID and institution of origin (up to 3 descending levels (university, center, department) The allowed number of authors is a maximum of 10 authors;
- Corresponding author, with contact via postal address, email and telephone;
- Declaration of conflict of interest;
- Thanks;
- If there is funding, include the name of the funding agency and number(s) of the process(es);
- Contributions to authorship according to ICMJE authorship guidelines
- In the case of systematic reviews, specify the PROSPERO registration protocol number. For clinical trials, specify the registration protocol (eg, Brazilian Clinical Trials Registry, https://ensaiosclinicos.gov.br/).


● Manuscript:
- It must not identify the authors or the institution where the research was carried out; - It must contain: title, abstract (in Portuguese, English and Spanish), keywords registered in the Database of Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS) (between three and up to six, in three languages); body of text, references (Vancouver format). Tables or graphic files must be placed after the references.
- Summary (except for the opinion article): structured. It must contain: introduction, objectives, methods, results, conclusions.
- Body of the text (except the opinion article): introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusions. - In cases of systematic reviews, the PROSPERO protocol number must be mentioned on the title page and in the Methods (https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/prospero/).
- References must be standardized in Vancouver style, presented in order of citation. It is necessary to check if all are mentioned in the text.
- Images (figures and photographs) must be provided in high resolution (300 dpi), in JPG or TIF, at least 8 cm wide, in grayscale, in files separated from the text. Images that can identify authors must not be in the original text. They can also be included as separate files from the article, which will not be sent for review.
- Graphs and tables must be presented in their original programs (for example, in Excel: file.xls), duly identified, in grayscale, in files separated from the text.
