Creative saving measures are already being developed in various museums in order to produce prospects for income generation to ensure the sustainability and the generation of economic flows to museums and to the environment. This video is the result of research conducted from 2013 to 2015 which had as to contribute to the analysis of the relationship of the creative economy with museums and tourism, with support from the Department of Hotel and Tourism (DHT) of Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), through Notice no. 80/2013.

Accompaniments and project analyzes and actions were carried out that were being developed in some museums in the city of Recife-Pernambuco- Brazil, seeking to identify those who were part of the guiding principles of the Brazilian creative economy: cultural diversity, sustainability, social inclusion and innovation. Five museums and its projects and interviews were surveyed with the managers of these areas to understand how creative actions are designed and created. The museums were analyzed: The Museum Cais do Sertão, whose composition is based on the creative economy; The Museum Paço do Frevo, through the "Quinta do Paço" project that includes musical performances allowing the interaction of frevo with different aesthetics, styles and languages and facilitating the productive chain of frevo; Murillo La Greca Museum, with the project "Praias do Capibaribe" (Beaches Capibaribe), where the museum is set as a simulacrum of a beach where are developed various activities; o Espaço Pasárgada, with "Cartonera Workshop", inspired by the Cartoneiro Movement, is an alternative editing for authors and small publishers work so collaborative; Casa Museu Magdalena e Gilberto Freyre (Museum House Magdalena and Gilberto Freyre), with the project "Tea with Charm" comprising a themed afternoon tea from the works of Freyre, making the chain of artists, musicians, poets, etc.

According to Instituto Brasileiro de Museus (IBRAM - the national museums institute), the creative economy in museums foster the relationship museum-community, considering the social function of museums, producing new opportunities for income generation guided in products and services that take advantage of capabilities, knowledge and practices. Therefore, creative actions in museums add value to these spaces, potentiate a production chain that operates in a network with the museum, generates symbolic and economic value and helps increase the flow of visitors, collaborates with the cultural capital and makes the visitor can identify and recognize museums.
