PNEUMONIA EM PACIENTES HOSPITALIZADOS POR TRAUMAS SOB TRATAMENTO INTENSIVO

Resumo


Objetivo: identificar os fatores de risco e formas de prevenção da pneumonia em pacientes hospitalizados por trauma em UTI. Método: fez se uso da revisão integrativa de literatura de artigos junto às bases PubMed e BVS. A busca ocorreu entre maio e agosto de 2019. Resultados: um total de 10 artigos atendeu aos critérios de seleção. Discussão: o rebaixamento da consciência é tido como um dos principais fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento da pneumonia após lesão grave, assim como o uso de ventilação mecânica e sonda nasogástrica, hemiparesia e hemiplegia, broncoscopia, reintubação, uso de solução salina hipertônica, traumatismo cranioencefálico e trauma de tórax. A medida de prevenção mais relevante vista foi a descontaminação oral com clorexidina a 2% feita precocemente, assim como a realização de exames de cultura microbiológica, antibiograma e descalonamento/escalonamento de antibióticos. Conclusão: a maioria dos fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento da pneumonia encontrados no estudo estavam relacionados a consequências do trauma e intervenções realizadas durante a internação. As principais medidas de prevenção são de fácil execução e baixo custo.
