Estudo do (des)conforto térmico na cidade de Caicó/RN

Os condicionantes do conforto térmico são resultantes das atividades concebidas pelos indivíduos, tanto pela vestimenta do dia-a-dia como variáveis ambientais que proporcionam trocas de calor entre corpo e ambiente. O conforto térmico das cidades pode abranger tanto o lado pessoal como ambiental, ambos têm que estar em equilíbrio para manter certa comodidade. O objetivo geral da pesquisa é identificar o conforto térmico na cidade de Caicó/RN no ano de 2011, utilizando dados de temperatura real retirados do INMET e cálculo do índice de conforto térmico, disponibilizado pela NOAA. Os resultados se organizaram em quatro categorias: perigo, cautela extrema, cautela e não há alerta. Os meses de janeiro a abril contaram com nebulosidade, o que sucedeu em precipitações devidas à participação ativa da Zona de Convergência Intertropical (ZCIT). Neste período ocorreu também as maiores temperaturas aparentes. A maioria dos dias esteve enquadrados no estado de cautela extrema, principalmente a partir de outubro, tendo o dia 10/12 como maior temperatura real do ano, com 38,4°C.
