ZONEAMENTO AMBIENTAL EM UMA UNIDADE DE CONSERVAÇÃO DO BIOMA CAATINGA: UM ESTUDO DE CASO NO PARQUE ESTADUAL MATA SECA, MANGA, NORTE DE MINAS GERAIS
Abstract
O Parque Estadual Mata Seca localiza-se no município de Manga, Norte do Estado de Minas Gerais e apresenta um mosaico vegetacional bastante complexo devido à diversidade de fitofisionomias encontradas dentro dos seus limites. A área vem sofrendo diversos tipos de pressões antrópicas como as queimadas, carvoejamento clandestino, pisoteio do gado, pesca e caça predatórias. Nesse sentido, acredita-se que esse zoneamento ambiental possa subsidiar o plano de manejo e a implementação efetiva dessa unidade de conservação tão ameaçada. Foram identificados e mapeados nove biótopos, constatando que esse parque apresenta uma expressiva variedade de ambientes. Posteriormente foi realizada uma caracterização através de um planilhamento e descrição sumária das áreas amostrais dos biótopos. A Floresta Estacional Decidual de alto porte, a Caatinga Arbórea Aberta e as Matas Ciliares se destacaram por apresentarem um ótimo estado de conservação e um avançado processo de sucessão ecológica. A Sede, o Pivô Cultivado e o Pivô Abandonado foram os biótopos mais impactados. O Parque foi dividido em três zonas, a saber: Zona Intangível, Zona Primitiva e Zona de Recuperação. A Zona Intangível possui a melhor qualidade ambiental da unidade de conservação, ocupando 64,61% de sua extensão. A Zona Primitiva ocupa 33,59% da unidade de conservação e apresentou uma qualidade ambiental considerável. A Zona de Recuperação ocupa a menor extensão dentro da unidade de conservação (1,80%) evidenciando a elevada qualidade ambiental do Parque como um todo.
