Socio-spatial differentiations and inequalities from the perspective of spatial justice: an analysis of bairro da Pedreira, in Belém-PA

The metropolitan space of Belém has among its main characteristics inequality and precariousness, and these are generators of the most diverse spatial injustices. Having as object of study three structuring ways of the neighborhood of Pedreira, this research proposed to analyze how the socio-spatial differentiations have repercussions in spatial justice, in the structuring ways of the neighborhood. From bibliographic surveys, documental analyzes and fieldwork, it was found that the spatial injustices that occur in the studied area are conditioned to inequalities inherent to the historical context of capitalist production in the metropolitan area of Belém, as well as to the unequal investments and performance of the State in these areas. ways. Thus, the reality identified from the analysis of the landscape where inequalities are marks; the unequal investments of the State in the roads with respect to the services of implementation of basic infrastructure, maintenance, cleaning and public security and; the situation of the sidewalks present on the roads, urban equipment of basic collective use, reveals several spatial injustices and reinforces a scenario that, in addition to being different, is, above all, unequal.
