ANOMALIAS DE TEMPERATURA DA SUPERFÍCIE DO MAR E A VARIABILIDADE PLUVIOMÉTRICA NO NÚCLEO DE DESERTIFICAÇÃO DE CABROBÓ/PE

O Núcleo de Desertificação de Cabrobó/PE, na região Nordeste do Brasil, apresenta como principal característica de seu ritmo climático um regime pluvial irregular. Esse fato pode ser explicado por diversos fatores fisiográficos, entre os quais destacam-se as interações entre a atmosfera e os oceanos Pacífico e Atlântico tropicais. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho objetivou investigar a relação entre os índices de Anomalia de Temperatura da Superfície do Mar (ATSM) do oceano Pacífico, do oceano Atlântico Tropical Norte e Sul, e o Índice de Anomalia de Chuva (IAC) no Núcleo de Desertificação de Cabrobó (NDC), no Sertão pernambucano. Foram utilizados dados do período de 1982 a 2016, e analisou-se, através do índice de correlação de Pearson, qual o grau de relação entre os episódios anômalos de TSM e o IAC. Para tanto foi calculado um índice (PA – Pacífico/Atlântico) para as ATSM. Os resultados indicam uma relação significativa do IAC com o índice PA, podendo ser explicada pela interação oceânica e atmosférica por meio dos padrões de teleconexões. Verificou-se também que as ATSM no oceano Pacífico podem atuar de maneira favorável ou desfavorável na intensidade do período chuvoso em associação às ATSM do oceano Atlântico Tropical.
