Is it possible to produce critical geographies with immersion and territorial cooperation?

The broad hegemony of colonial thought in sciences such as (human) geography is impressive, however, much is done and believed in the (re)production of critical theories. So, we decided to ask ourselves whether these critical theories, normally used in geography, are not colonial. We did this as a result of academicism, universalism, globalism and rationalism inherent to the North-Eurocentric methods prevailing in Brazilian geographic thought, whether it is called “modern” or “post-modern”. Our text is the result of some learning, so we illustrate how we research and collaborate with the subjects of our action research projects to, at the end of the text, problematize our arguments about the coexistence method based on some questions that certainly remain without a clear answer.
