Abstract

The present essay brings up the idea of how the lack of feminine models
within the culture -and arts specially-, as a result of an erasure of a feminine genealogy in art history, implies, for professional women in these disciplines, some
insecurity and despise for their own work. The so-called “impostor syndrome”, very popular presently, is just one of its manifestations. The objective of this essay is to gather together and present, from the Spanish sphere, several initiatives and cultural projects orientated to recover these artistic models, which, using mainly social media and online resources, help to create a new genealogy of women that had an effect on the education and confidence of professional women of the present and future.
