About the Journal

Cartema is a biannual publication affiliated with the Joint Graduate Program in Visual Arts at UFPB/UFPE.

Cartema publishes articles, visual essays, and curated artistic exhibitions in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. It maintains a continuous submission system for unpublished works, which are evaluated through a double-blind review process, in addition to specific calls for thematic dossiers.

The journal is open access for both authors and readers, with a National and International Editorial Board.

Cartema does not charge any fees of any kind.
