Epistemologias literárias: crítica do pensamento crítico

Abstract

Este pequeno artigo busca indicar, através de considerações epistemológicas, menos uma tese que uma linha de pensamento. Por meio de uma reflexão próxima ao que se chamaria de “história das mentalidades”, buscamos demonstrar a trajetória do pensamento racionalista ocidental, e como esse pensamento infl uencia o horizonte mental da crítica literária. Por fim, trazemos ao debate a permanência do mito enquanto estruturação simbólica do imaginário, mostrando como ele, mesmo “desbancado” pelo surgimento do romance, permanece subjacente a todo discurso racional moderno.
