O contínuo genérico presente na capa de jornal

Abstract

Nesse artigo mostramos que a capa de jornal comporta uma variedade de gêneros que concorrem para que ela cumpra as funções: identificar o jornal; anunciar o conteúdo e apontar o local onde o texto se encontra; persuadir o leitor quanto à leitura e compra do periódico. Consideramos que há, na capa de jornal, um contínuo que parte dos componentes que chamamos de aparatos da edição, tais como os que constituem o cabeçalho: nome do jornal, data, número da edição... até os gêneros que atingiram uma autonomia como manchetes, fotografias, legenda e chamadas de capa.
