Empréstimos linguísticos na visão do gramático Eduardo Carlos Pereira: um enfoque na perspectiva da História das Ideias Linguísticas
Abstract
O artigo analisa como empréstimos linguísticos externos são tratados na obra Grammatica Expositiva: Curso Superior, 2ª edição (1909), do gramático Eduardo Carlos Pereira. Para tanto, utiliza a perspectiva teórica da História das Ideias Linguísticas e conclui que o gramático sofreu influência direta do pensamento que vigorava no início do século XX, levando-o a tratar de maneira distinta sua visão científica da linguagem, apresentada no item Esboço histórico e geográfico, e sua posição purista frente aos fenômenos linguísticos, exposta no item Vícios de linguagem.
