Comportamento fonético-fonológico do /S/ pós-vocálico em Manaus
Abstract
Nesta pesquisa investigou-se o comportamento fonético-fonológico do /S/ pós-vocálico no município de Manaus, utilizando os dados coletados para o Atlas Linguístico do Brasil. Foram analisados um total de 641 dados fonéticos, sendo 355 em posição medial de vocábulo e 286 em posição final de vocábulo. O que se constatou foi a existência de três variantes do /S/ pós-vocálico na fala dos informantes: a fricativa alveolar, a fricativa pós-alveolar e a fricativa glotal. Em dados gerais, em posição medial, a fricativa alveolar e pós-alveolar apresentam uma distribuição homogênea (50,1% e 47%, respectivamente). Em posição final, a fricativa alveolar mostrou-se predominante (67,1%).
