Abstract

Este ensaio discute a importância da(s) memória(s) para o aprendizado da leitura e descrição do seu processamento. Integram-no uma revisão dos estudos sobre memória individual, seguida de menção às pesquisas sobre o cérebro humano (neurociências). Após, propõe-se inter-relacionar as pesquisas da memória individual e a memória social, além de se mobilizar o conceito de memória discursiva (AD) para discutir interpretação/compreensão leitora. Por fim, reporta-se ao conceito de memórias implícitas, sobretudo, ao de falsas memórias, relacionando-o a um aspecto da atividade leitora, estabelecendo dessa forma um vínculo pontual entre pesquisas sobre memória e pesquisas sobre leitura.
