Abstract

This study aims to understand the perceptions of Mathematics pre-service teachers regarding the use of Educational Digital Platforms (EDPs) as an environment for knowledge mobilization. To this end, it analyzes the formative experience in the course "Computational Resources Applied to Mathematics Teaching," offered as part of the Mathematics Licentiate program at the Federal Institute of Rondônia, Cacoal Campus, as a component of the teaching internship of a doctoral student in the REAMEC Program. Within this context, the study sought to answer the research question: "How do Mathematics pre-service teachers perceive an initial training activity when Educational Digital Platforms (EDPs) are used as the primary environment for knowledge mobilization? "This is a qualitative research, characterized as a case study, which utilized questionnaires administered to twelve pre-service teachers and analyzed the data through content analysis. The results reveal that the course played a fundamental role in the development of the future teachers, benefiting both those with initial difficulties and those already familiar with Digital Technologies. The pre-service teachers valued features of the EDPs such as interactivity, teaching personalization, remote access, and immediate feedback, identifying platforms like GeoGebra, Khan Academy, and Quizizz as promoters of engagement and autonomy. The teaching internship experience proved to be an effective strategy, articulating theory and practice and serving as a fertile ground for reflection and the improvement of teaching practice. The research highlights, however, that the effective integration of EDPs encounters structural challenges, such as limited internet access and a lack of equipment. It is concluded that the success of this integration depends on an inseparable triad: qualified teacher training, adequate material conditions, and an understanding of technology as agency for social and educational transformation.
