Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista; caso contrário, deve-se justificar em "Comentários ao editor".

     

  • O arquivo da submissão está em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF.

     

  • URLs para as referências foram informadas quando possível.

     

  • O texto está em espaço 1,5; usa uma fonte Times New Roman de 12-pontos; emprega itálico em vez de sublinhado (exceto em endereços URL); as figuras e tabelas estão inseridas no texto, não no final do documento, como anexos. Não deverão ser utilizados notas de rodapé e cabeçalho.

     

  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na página Sobre a Revista.

     

  • Em caso de submissão a uma seção com avaliação pelos pares (ex.: artigos), as instruções disponíveis em Assegurando a avaliação pelos pares cega foram seguidas.

Author Guidelines

EM TEIA Journal is a scientific publication vehicle, featuring articles that present completed scientific research in the fields of Mathematics Education and Educational Technologies, as well as related areas. Submissions must be original and must not have been previously published in another journal. The journal’s publication policies, including guidelines on the peer review process, ethics, good research practices, and the use of generative AI tools, are available in the 'About the Journal' section.

Submissions are accepted in Portuguese and English in the following formats:

  • Articles presenting scientific research must demonstrate objectivity and clarity (15 to 25 pages). For formatting guidelines, click here to access the article template in English.

  • Articles may have a maximum of five authors, with at least one holding a doctoral degree, and must include the ORCID iD for each author along with complete information (name, institution/affiliation, email addresses, academic degree, country, and short bio). The ORCID address must be entered into the journal's system without the "S" (http://) and can be obtained for free at: https://orcid.org/register. Example: http://orcid.org/0000-0000-000-0000.

  • To ensure diversity and balance in publications, the journal will only publish articles by the same author in regular issues with a minimum interval of six months between publications. This rule does not apply to thematic issues or special editions.

  • Articles will only be forwarded for peer review if all data fields are properly completed, including the names and information of all authors, with their ORCID iDs. In the biography, authors must state their highest degree or current academic level (e.g., Master's student in..., Doctoral candidate in...).

  • If the article is accepted, the author(s) must submit, along with the final version, a language revision declaration issued by a language professional (model available in English version).

  • In the case of using generative AI tools, the author(s) must submit a declaration after article acceptance. Templates are available in English.

SUMMARY OF FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS

  • Page size: A4 (210 x 297 mm) with 3.0 cm margins (top, bottom, left, and right).

  • Page numbers should appear at the top-right corner.

  • The article title should be centered, in Times New Roman, size 14, bold, uppercase, and 1.5 line spacing. Only the first letter and proper nouns should be capitalized.

  • Below it, the title (and subtitle, if applicable) in English, centered, in Times New Roman, size 12, bold and italicized.

  • Following the titles, the authors' names should be right-aligned, size 12, bold, single-spaced, with their academic degrees, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID iDs in size 10, single-spaced.

NOTE: Author identification should only be included in the final version if the article is accepted. The version submitted for review must not contain author names or any identifiable information.

Scientific articles must include an abstract in Portuguese and English, each with a maximum of 15 lines (250 words), single-spaced, along with five keywords in both languages. Do not use automatic translators; a professional language review is recommended.

The article should be structured in unnumbered sections with subheadings in size 12, bold, and without indentation. It must include an introduction and a conclusion or final remarks.

According to ABNT NBR 14724, tables, charts, and illustrations must be sequentially numbered and referenced within the text.

  • Tables (for numerical data): no vertical lines or borders.

  • Charts (for organizing textual and numerical data): vertical and horizontal lines with full borders.

  • Illustrations (graphs, maps, photos, drawings, diagrams, flowcharts, etc.) are all classified as figures under ABNT.

Captions for tables, charts, and figures should appear above the element, in size 12, single-spaced. The source must always be indicated, even when self-authored, and shown in size 10.

Figures must be embedded within the text, preferably in GIF or JPG formats, ensuring clarity and readability.

Citations and references must follow the most current ABNT formatting guidelines.

Nesta seção serão publicados artigos inéditos que discutam resultados de pesquisas e ensaios teóricos das áreas de Educação Matemática e de Tecnologia na Educação.

VEREDAS DIGITAIS: CAMINHOS PARA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DAS BASES E DIRETRIZES NA TECNOLOGIA EDUCACIONAL

Os caminhos para efetivação do Complemento de Computação da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) e das novas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais (DCN) das Licenciaturas, reforçam o debate sobre tecnologia educacional, assim como trazem à tona a necessidade de um aprofundamento crítico sobre a integração das tecnologias digitais na educação nos contextos do desenvolvimento do pensamento computacional, dos mundos digitais e da cultura digital. Nesse cenário, o ciberespaço emerge como um campo fértil para a exploração de novas metodologias, práticas e teorias que possam enriquecer o processo educativo. O tema "Veredas Digitais: caminhos para implementação das Bases e Diretrizes na Tecnologia Educacional" busca refletir sobre esses cenários junto a estudos que abordem a implementação e os impactos das tecnologias digitais, destacando as linhas de pensamento computacional, mundo digital e cultura digital estabelecidas pela BNCC. Além disso, visa explorar como as diretrizes das licenciaturas podem contribuir para uma formação inicial e continuada dos docentes para a educação básica, alinhada com as demandas tecnológicas contemporâneas, com foco na aplicação da BNCC de Computação nas escolas.

Neste contexto, convidamos pesquisadores interessados para contribuir com este número temático da EM TEIA, Revista Iberoamericana de Educação Matemática e Tecnológica, com artigos entre 15 e 20 páginas que sigam as diretrizes para publicação da revista e que contem com contribuições que dialoguem sobre como as tecnologias educacionais podem ser problematizadas, considerando Bases e Diretrizes na Tecnologia Educacional. Serão bem-vindos artigos que explorem temas como:

a) Games na Educação; b) Cultura Pop e Educação; c) Cibercultura e educação; d) Mídias Digitais e Redes Sociais; e) Pensamento Computacional; f) Mundo e cultura digital; g) EaD, MOOCs e Ensino Híbrido; h) Cultura da Convergência e Inteligência Coletiva; i) Movimento Maker na Educação; e j) Políticas Públicas e o Plano Nacional de Educação Digital

Nesse contexto, a seção temática “Didática da Matemática: pesquisas, avanços e perspectivas”, da EM TEIA, tem como propósito receber artigos científicos que discutam investigações em Didática da Matemática, desenvolvidas em sala de aula ou em outros espaços, como a formação de professores e a produção de livros didáticos. Espera-se que tais trabalhos sejam fundamentados na análise dos processos e fenômenos didáticos e que possam contemplar aspectos cognitivos e linguísticos, desde que em diálogo com a problematização dos objetos de saber em foco. São igualmente bem-vindos estudos que considerem diferentes conteúdos matemáticos, bem como suas inter-relações com saberes de outros campos do conhecimento.
