Abstract

This article exposes the theoretical foundation and the methodological path of a postgraduate researcher for the development of his doctoral thesis. The writing brings the details of the theme from the problem question. The presentation of the theoretical basis based on the key concepts of Geographical Science, space, territory and region, as well as other areas such as economy, capitalism and agropastoral space. The main theme is the National Integration Routes as a public policy of the Brazilian State, aimed at developing the production chain that involves the milk route in the central hinterland of Ceará semiarid region. In the discussion of the article, the methodological path of the research is described with the presentation of the method, approach, methodology, data collection, reading and interpretation of data and presentation of the research results.
