Abstract

Whether from fear of infection, fear of death, social detachment, economic stress, emotio-nal and mental health issues are now among the main public health concerns worldwide because of the new coronavirus pandemic. Many individuals have been suffering from boredom, anger, high anxiety, depression, al-cohol abuse and post-traumatic symptoms. In particular, children, adolescents and women in the perinatal period experience this mo-ment with disheartening peculiarities such as domestic violence, lack of support and inse-curity. In addition, several suicide risk factors  are present, leaving psychiatrists, families and health services on alert. This paper proposes to explore these issues in more detail.
