Integration of tangible and intangible heritage
a protocol for collaboration based on HBIM

Considering the growing awareness about the conservation of historical heritage and the development of computer technologies, the interaction between the material world and its digital representations has played an important role in the area of documentation and management of architectural information. Currently, several technological resources have been used in this area, among them the use of HBIM (Heritage Building Information Modeling), with numerous applications in historical buildings in Brazil and worldwide. However, the scenario of guidelines for its implementation is complex, especially considering the differences in location, purpose and scale of the use cases disclosed. The challenges of creating a collaborative structure that enables the integration of geometric and semantic data in the Brazilian context, ensuring its continuous application by heritage managers, regardless of whether they have specialized knowledge in HBIM, persist. In view of the above, this article presents the results of a research that investigated experiences of applying HBIM in search of procedures for integrating information on tangible and intangible heritage in a shared repository, in order to develop a protocol for collaboration. As proposed, a case study was carried out that generated the HBIM Model of the Caruaru Memorial Museum, in Pernambuco.
