Resumen

El artículo aborda el entrelazamiento entre la inteligencia artificial (IA) y la ética. Examina la literatura sobre la comprensión de la ética en el campo de la IA, identificando los límites de las prácticas convencionales para establecer pautas y códigos de conducta aplicables al diseño de tecnologías de IA con énfasis en responsabilizar a los desarrolladores profesionales. Presenta dos interpretaciones de la ética: como un conjunto de principios y valores, y como un juicio crítico-reflexivo situado en parámetros morales compartidos. Explica las perspectivas de implementar una ética basada en la coerción según un enfoque disciplinario en contraste con el que privilegia la educación. Destaca la apropiación imprecisa del concepto de ética reducida a una conducta moral prescrita y la posibilidad de cambiar el enfoque de la ética para llegar también al usuario de los resultados generados por las herramientas de IA en el contexto de procesos de toma de decisiones que pretenden ser éticamente justificada en el ámbito de la administración pública. Se enfatiza la importancia de la capacidad crítico-reflexiva de extensión radical que se requiere de los agentes públicos, especialmente considerando las repercusiones sociales y políticas de las acciones y deliberaciones producidas a partir de los resultados generados por las tecnologías de IA.
