AI Impacts on Social Inclusion of People with Disabilities and Older Adults in the Labour Market

Resumen

Este estudio examina el impacto de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) en la inclusión social de las personas con discapacidad (PCD) y los adultos mayores en el mercado laboral. El objetivo principal es evaluar las oportunidades y los desafíos que estas tecnologías presentan en términos de accesibilidad y equidad laboral. El estudio utiliza una metodología de revisión narrativa, basada en la literatura existente, para evaluar la influencia de la IA en los grupos marginados. Los resultados indican que, si bien estas tecnologías ofrecen beneficios potenciales, como una mayor accesibilidad y nuevas oportunidades de empleo, también presentan el riesgo de exacerbar las desigualdades existentes. Entre los desafíos clave se incluyen la brecha digital, que afecta desproporcionadamente a las personas con discapacidad y a los adultos mayores, y la perpetuación de sesgos en los sistemas de IA que pueden reforzar el edadismo y el capacitismo. La investigación destaca la importancia de la alfabetización digital, el diseño inclusivo y las políticas de bienestar que promueven la inclusión social de estos grupos. El estudio contribuye a la sociedad al destacar la necesidad de que los responsables políticos, los desarrolladores de tecnología y las organizaciones comunitarias prioricen las prácticas inclusivas en el desarrollo e implementación de tecnologías digitales. El estudio también recomienda que futuras investigaciones exploren los impactos a largo plazo de la IA en estos grupos.

Marcelo Neves Gonçalves, Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie

Magíster en Administración de Empresas de la Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie y Licenciatura en Administración de Empresas de la Universidad de São Paulo (FEA-USP). Con 40 años de experiencia profesional en cargos ejecutivos en grandes empresas, cuento con 13 años de experiencia en gestión académica de cursos de pregrado y posgrado (MBA) lato sensu en las áreas de Administración, Contabilidad y Economía, en los cuales estructuré Proyectos de Cursos Pedagógicos. Participé en varios procesos de evaluación, autorización y reconocimiento de cursos y reconocimiento institucional ante el MEC. Desarrollé mi carrera trabajando principalmente en los siguientes temas: Finanzas, Estrategia y Marketing. Mis principales intereses de investigación se relacionan con el desempeño financiero, las prácticas ESG, el uso de la inteligencia artificial (IA), los indicadores de desempeño (KPI), las estrategias de marketing, la accesibilidad digital y la inclusión social. Actualmente estoy estudiando un Doctorado en Administración de Empresas en la Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, en el campo de Finanzas Estratégicas.

He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering (ITA, 1974) and Economic Theory (USP, 1978), with a Master’s (1981) and Ph.D. (1984) in Economics from The New School for Social Research, and a postdoctoral fellowship from Bielefeld University (1993). Currently a Full Professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, he has served as a research project reviewer for CNPq, CAPES, ANPG, Ritsumeikan University, and Mackenzie. His academic work focuses on Economic Theory, particularly exchange rates, monetary economics, and the value of money.
