Technology and Overcoming of Metaphysics in Heidegger

Abstract

Modern technique should be understood as a kind of consummation, as the summit of the metaphysical project. However, not all the real fits into the technometaphysic understanding of the world, and thus, many other possibilities of realization of reality are left out. Therefore the need to surpass metaphysics in order to gain their true size. In this task, one must go beyond the understanding of man and world as two autonomous and independent substrates. It is necessary to understand the origin and the way that all divides, from the perspective of empowerment and control of reality by man. The effort should be to remove the previous meaning of everything that takes place, that is, means losing a world – the technometaphysic world – to win the world. And what Heidegger points as thought is just an activity that puts in place a more original and inaugural relationship with reality, which is directed from the truth as unveiling.
