Resumo

Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar o modelo de riscos proporcional de Cox. Para tanto, será feito um debate teórico geral dos modelos de sobrevivência, assim como a apresentação de termos comuns para a técnica. Além disso, será feita uma apresentação passo a passo de como elaborar um modelo de Cox no software R. Espera-se que este trabalho ajude na difusão da técnica dentro das ciências sociais.
