O presente trabalho visa analisar o regime pluviométrico (média dos totais de precipitação mensal) observado ao longo de 29 anos (1981 a 2010), associando-o a sistemas precipitantes além de analisar o comportamento da temperatura média mensal observada ao longo de 15 anos (1987 a 2001) para as ilhas de Cabo Verde. Com os dados de temperatura observada obter os coeficientes de regressão para um modelo empírico de estimativa da temperatura em função das coordenadas geográficas (latitude, longitude e altitude) e analisar o desempenho do modelo para a estimativa da temperatura média mensal para regiões insulares. Através de mapas de elevação e declividade foi analisado como o relevo influencia na variação climática de cada ilha. Pode-se concluir então que o máximo de chuva é observado nos meses de Agosto a Outubro; o modelo de estimativa de temperatura demonstrou bom desempenho estimando com boa precisão e por fim que o caráter acidentado do relevo das ilhas pouco contribui para a infiltração de águas pluviais na superfície, levando a erosão e acentuação das condições de aridez dos solos.

Analysis of the Precipitation and Air Temperature Observed and Estimated in the Cape Verde Islands
ABSTRACT
The present work aims to analyze the rainfall (total monthly average) observed over 29 years (1981-2010), associating it with precipitating systems, also to analyze the behavior of monthly average temperature observed over 15 years (1987-2001) for the islands of Cape Verde. With the observed temperature data to obtain the regression coefficients for an empirical estimation model of the temperature as a function of geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude and altitude) and analyze the performance of the model to estimate the average monthly temperature for islands. Through maps with elevation and slope was analyzed as relief influences the climate variation of each island. It can be concluded that the maximum rainfall is observed from August to October, the temperature estimation model showed a good performance estimating with good accuracy and ultimately the rugged characteristic of the islands contributes little to the infiltration of rainwater in surface, leading to erosion and stress conditions of aridity of the soil.
