A QUESTÃO SOCIAL E OS CÍRCULOS OPERÁRIOS DO RECIFE.
Abstract
O artigo aborda os movimentos cristãos junto aos operários no Brasil. A questão remonta à encíclica Rerum Novarum, do papa Leão XIII. No bojo dessa relação está a indissociabilidade entre os movimentos operários, a Igreja e o Estado contrapondo-se aos movimentos socialistas. Pernambuco foi o centro pioneiro dos círculos operários. estes se processaram desde o início do século XX até o fim do Estado Novo, quando se observa seu declínio. O auge dos Círculos Operários acontece durante a ditadura Vargas em Pernambuco, sob a intervenção de Agamenon Magalhães.Downloads
