A Crônica da Irlanda entre tradições historiográficas, cronológicas e manuscritas (740 – 911)

O presente artigo objetiva sugerir uma interpretação do papel da Crônica da Irlanda em sua tradição de escrita da história – os anais medievais Irlandeses. A partir de provocações da historiografia que manifestam sua inexistência, questionamos: que evidências atestam a existência da Crônica da Irlanda dentro dos anais Irlandeses? Configuramos a Crônica da Irlanda interconectando as sequências comuns dos anais tardo-medievais em três pontos. Primeiro, definimos os anais Irlandeses como uma tradição historiográfica, depois sugerimos o recorte cronológico do documento entre 740 e 911, e, por fim, identificamos seu corpus de manuscritos.
