Prevalência de burnout em profissionais de enfermagem em unidades de terapia intensiva após Covid-19: revisão de escopo

Resumo

Objetivo: Mapear as evidências disponíveis na literatura sobre a prevalência da síndrome de burnout em profissionais de enfermagem que atuam em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva adultas durante e após a pandemia de Covid-19. Método: Revisão de escopo realizada em 12 bases de dados, com busca no mês de julho de 2023. Foram incluídas pesquisas que abordaram a síndrome de burnout em profissionais de enfermagem a partir de 2020, sem limitação de idioma. A leitura dos estudos foi realizada por dois revisores, de forma independente. Resultados: Após triagem, 17 estudos atenderam aos critérios de inclusão. Profissionais menos experientes tinham maior probabilidade de relatar altos níveis de burnout. A elevada carga de trabalho foi considerada um fator fundamental para o esgotamento, enquanto a falta de apoio emocional gerou frustração no ambiente de trabalho. Conclusão: A revisão identificou evidências sobre a prevalência e fatores associados ao burnout entre profissionais de enfermagem de terapia intensiva no período pós-pandemia. Os achados reforçam a necessidade de programas institucionais para a prevenção e manejo do burnout e destacam a importância de reconhecer seus impactos na saúde mental e nas dinâmicas de trabalho. Esses resultados podem subsidiar estratégias organizacionais para mitigar o burnout e promover melhores condições de trabalho.
