DIAGNÓSTICO GEOAMBIENTAL EM MICROBACIA HIDROGRÁFICA DO SEMIÁRIDO BRASILEIRO, A PARTIR DO USO DE GEOTECNOLOGIAS
Abstract
A desertificação é um desastre que afeta muitas áreas do Planeta, incluindo o Semiárido brasileiro, tendo como causas condicionantes naturais e, principalmente, sociais, devido a falta de planejamento no uso/ocupação das terras, a exemplo da microbacia do Riacho do Tronco, Boa Vista, PB, cujas atividades econômicas - agricultura, pecuária extensiva e mineração - estão ocasionando degradação ambiental e desertificação. Nesse contexto, a partir da análise das relações sociedade-natureza, numa perspectiva sistêmica, este trabalho teve como objetivo fazer um diagnóstico geoambiental da microbacia do Riacho do Tronco, Boa Vista, PB, a partir da interpretação de imagens multiespectrais do satélite CBERS-2, sensor CCD com resolução de 20 metros e produtos cartográficos pré-existentes, processados através do Spring 4.3.3. Os mapas temáticos permitiram a compilação de informações sobre o ambiente da microbacia e os resultados mostraram que o uso/ocupação das terras, principalmente com atividades agropecuárias, tem promovido os conflitos de uso; também verificou-se que existe a necessidade de regeneração de Áreas de Proteção Permanentes e regularização das áreas de Reserva Legal nas propriedades. Finalmente, a eficiência do uso das geotecnologias no diagnóstico geoambiental pôde ser verificada pela comprovação da interpretação de informações das imagens através da pesquisa de campo realizada no local.Downloads
