Permanences and innovations in the journalistic editorial in two languages: paths from print to digital

Abstract

In this paper, we seek to contribute, on the one hand, with discussions about discursive traditions (COSERIU, 1981, 2007; KOCH, 1997; KABATEK, 2006, 2015) in present synchrony, putting electronic communication  or  communication  mediated  by  computer,  that  is, language  actions  performed  in  a  digital  environment,  and,  on  the other  hand,  with  teaching  suggestion,  based  on  the  perspective  of Sociodiscursive  Interactionism  (BRONCKART,  1999),  which addressthe historicity of language and genre. This time, with an emphasis on the   contemporary   context,   we   start   with   the   following   guiding question: how does the tension between permanence and innovation re-elaborate the use of language in the digital environment? Thus, 2 (two) newspapers,one in Portuguese and the other in Spanish,from the 20th to the 21st centuries, in print and digital versions, have been selected as  acorpusforthis  investigation.  In   addition   to  raising aspects related to the aforementioned innovations and permanency, our  study  also focusses  onissues  pertainingto  the  teaching  of  this genre, considering the guidelines of Base Nacional Comum Curricular(BNCC)–Common  National  Curriculum Base, a  reference  document  in Portuguese that establishes the fundamental skills and competences for each stage of basic education in Brazil. According to BNCC (2017, p. 68), reflecting on the transformations that have taken place in the fields  of  activities  due  to  the  development  of  communication  and information technologies makes it possible to look at new genres and new  language  practices  typical  of  digital  culture,  recognizing  the process  of  re-elaboration  as  a  result  of  the  transformations  the  text undergoes,      the      forms      of       interaction      and      sharing      of texts/content/information.

Aurea Zavam, Universidade Federal do Ceará

Graduada em Letras (Licenciatura Português-Espanhol) pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (1979), especialista em Leitura e Escrita (1994), Mestre (1998), Doutora (2009) em Linguística pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) e Pós-doutora em Estudos Linguísticos (2016) pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Professora da Unidade de Prática de Ensino do Departamento de Letras Vernáculas, do Programa de Pós-graduação em Linguística (PPGL) e do Mestrado Profissional em Letras (ProfLetras) da UFC, onde coordena o grupo de pesquisa Tradice e participa do grupo de pesquisa Protexto . Tem experiência na área de Linguística Aplicada, em interface com Linguística Histórica e Linguística de Texto, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: tradições discursivas; análise de gêneros; leitura, escrita, análise linguística e ensino; formação de professores. Atualmente é coordenadora do ProfLetras-UFC.

Valéria Severina Gomes, Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco

Doutora em Linguística pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), com pós-doutorado em Letras Vernáculas pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Linguística de Texto, Linguística Aplicada, Linguística Sócio-histórica e Tradições Discursivas. Professora do Curso de Licenciatura em Letras da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE) e professora do Programa de Pós-graduação em Estudos da Linguagem (PROGEL) da UFRPE.
